3 Teams That Should Sign Former All-Pro Pass Rusher Vic Beasley
By Max Staley

The Tennessee Titans released former first-team All-Pro linebacker Vic Beasley. It's a troubling development for Beasley, as Tennessee is tied for the league's lowest sack rate (2.5%). Getting released by a team that's this desperate for pass-rushing help is not exactly a ringing endorsement of the former Atlanta Falcon.
Still, it's hard to ignore the talent. Beasley had a 16.5-sack season back in 2016, and recorded 8.0 just last year.
Here are three teams that should take a flyer on the explosive outside linebacker.
3. Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns arguably have the league's most dominant defensive player in Myles Garrett. But he hasn't been getting much help on the defensive line. Cleveland currently ranks T-No. 26 in the NFL in pressure rate (19.0%) despite Garrett boasting a league-best 9.0 sacks. No one else on the Browns has more than 2.5 sacks. Beasley would be a great high-upside gamble who wouldn't cost much. Could be a good addition.
2. Green Bay Packers
Last year's Green Bay Packers' defense was built on a dominant pass-rushing unit led by ZA'Darius Smith and Preston Smith. While ZA'Darius has been enjoying a repeat performance in 2020, posting 6.0 sacks thus far, Preston's production has fallen off a cliff. After finishing with 12 sacks and 23 QB hits last year, he's only recorded 0.5 sacks and 2 QB hits through 7 appearances this year. As a result, Green Bay currently ranks No. 31 in pressure rate at 17.1%. Adding Beasley could help spell the Smiths and give this pass-rushing unit the shot in the arm it needs.
1. Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks defense finally showed some signs of life against the San Francisco 49ers this week. But that offense was extremely shorthanded due to injuries, and Seattle's defense still has a ways to go. The Seahawks just added Carlos Dunlap to help address a pass-rushing unit that ranks bottom 12 in both pressure rate (20.3%, No. 22) and sack rate (3.5%, No. 28), but Beasley could be a great low-risk, high-reward addition as well.
