The Pittsburgh Steelers wish they could forget the second half of the 2020 NFL season. After starting 11-0, the Steelers went 1-4 down the stretch and were quickly eliminated from the postseason in the Wild Card round.

The Steelers would like to bounce back in 2021 by going further in the playoffs, but they have their doubters. FanDuel Sportsbook is favoring Pittsburgh to miss the playoffs (-210) rather than qualify for the postseason (+170). Yes, the team had a disappointing end to their 2020 campaign, but there's no way of cutting it: these odds are disrespectful.

Steelers Odds to Make Playoffs 2021

The Steelers might play in a tough AFC North Division with the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, but it's somewhat absurd to think that they wouldn't even be a wild card team. After all, Pittsburgh's 12 wins in 2020 ranked third among all AFC teams.

Even with Ben Roethlisberger getting older, the Steelers still have a talented offense that includes a dangerous trio of wideouts in Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool and JuJu Smith-Schuster. The organization also used their 2021 first-round pick on Alabama running back Najee Harris to try and help their run game.

The Steelers were also effective on the defensive side of the ball, yielding just 21.2 points per game (T-5th) in 2020. If they can bring the same sort of energy and success back to the field next season, there's no reason why the Steelers won't be in the playoffs.

Pittsburgh will hope to prove their doubters wrong once the 2021 regular season concludes.
