The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off an 8-8 season in 2019, but that was actually a pretty encouraging result. They reached that mark despite getting some really weak quarterback play from backups Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges.
That's reflected in Peter King's offseason power rankings, in which he has the Steelers as the No. 10 team in the NFL.
The Pittsburgh defense has not been in question this offseason. They finished 2019 as the No. 3 unit in Football Outsiders' DVOA rankings, and they're showing no signs of slowing down on that side of the ball.
Sitting at 10 does keep the Steelers behind the Ravens in the AFC North, but it has them as the fifth-ranked team in the AFC.
The Steelers aren't a team used to missing the playoffs, and they look poised to make it back to the postseason in 2020, even if they have to do so as a Wild Card team. Their strong year is expected to get off to a hot start, too, as they're 4-point road favorites in Week 1.
