Now about 20 games into the 2019-20 NHL season, there have already been some impressive winning streaks. The New York Islanders just racked up 10 wins in a row and the Boston Bruins won six straight. The St. Louis Blues and Washington Capitals own the longest current win streaks with six and five consecutive victories, respectively.

With those wins, it's the Bruins that have the best odds to win the Stanley Cup, at +700, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Behind the Bruins are four teams – the Colorado Avalanche, Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs and Vegas Golden Knights – all tied with +950 odds. Then come two of the teams with the early-season winning streaks in the Capitals (+1400) and the Blues (+1600).

Despite their season-best winning streak, the Islanders remain at +3000 to take home their first Stanley Cup since they won four straight from 1980 to 1983.

It's good to remember that just because an NHL team gets off the hot start that it doesn't necessarily mean they're destined to win the Stanley Cup, something the Blues proved last season going from worst to first in a matter of months.
