The 2022 MLB season has come to a conclusion, meaning front offices around the league are now going to start shifting attention to offseason free agents. 131 players were officially declared as free agents on Sunday, including six Philadelphia Phillies pros that made a crucial impact this past season.

The biggest loss for the Phillies here has to be veteran reliever David Robertson. Robertson posted a 2.70 ERA across 23 appearances after being acquired at the trade deadline. He acted as the team's top closer down the stretch, racking up 11 saves and striking out 30 batters in 23.1 innings pitched.

Two starting pitchers join Robertson on the open market as well. Noah Syndergaard finished 2022 with a 5-2 record and 4.12 ERA in his nine starts for the Phillies. Meanwhile, veteran Kyle Gibson battled through an up-and-down campaign to end up with a 10-8 record to go along with a 5.26 ERA.

The pitching departures continue with bullpen arms Brad Hand and Corey Knebel set to leave the city of brotherly love. Hand was Philly's go-to lefty reliever early on in the season and finished with a 2.80 ERA across 55 games. Injuries capped Knebel at just 44.2 innings (3.43 ERA & 1.37 WHIP), though.

The only other free agent for the Phillies is pitcher Chris Devenski, who entered the game three times during the regular season. Manager Rob Thomson will have his entire starting lineup back, except possibly veteran infielder Jean Segura. Segura's $17 million club option is expected to be declined.

For now, the Phillies have odds set at +1800 to win the 2023 World Series, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
