The Seattle Seahawks are gearing up for a massive Week 9 outing against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The Seahawks have exceeded expectations so far this season, but they'll need top wideouts DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett to be at full strength to overcome their NFC West rivals on the road.

Metcalf and Lockett have both been dealing with injuries recently. Fortunately, the duo's latest injury updates provide great news for Seattle fans as the pass-catching pair has been removed from the Week 9 injury report.

DK Metcalf Injury Update

Though Metcalf hasn't missed a game in his four-year NFL career, fans began to worry when he was limited at Wednesday's practice with a knee injury. Fortunately, he ended up being a full participant in the following days, seemingly proving that his ailment is a thing of the past.

Logging a team-high 25.5% target share, Metcalf has turned 37 receptions into 473 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns over eight games. Though his scoring rate is down compared to the 22 TDs he caught in 2020 and 2021 combined, he's still on pace for his second 1,000-yard season.

It remains to be seen if Metcalf can finally do some damage against the Cardinals, though, as he's averaging just 28.3 receiving yards per game in seven career matchups against Arizona.

Tyler Lockett Injury Update

Meanwhile, Lockett has been dealing with hamstring and rib-related injuries over the last month or so. He was also limited at practice to start the week but had his workload ramped up as time went on.

Nevertheless, fans shouldn't be too shocked by Lockett's status. Like Metcalf, he's shown toughness over the course of his eight-year NFL career, missing only two of a possible 121 games. He's also on pace for his fourth consecutive 1,000-yard campaign, logging a 46-531-3 stat line through eight contests.

Only the Detroit Lions allow more receiving yards at home per game (309.0) than the Cardinals (306.5). Assuming that trend continues, both Lockett and Metcalf could be headed for a big game on Sunday.
