The Seattle Seahawks have been busy filling out their roster this offseason after having a large number of free agents. They were able to re-sign Chris Carson and Benson Mayowa, while also adding Gerald Everett and getting Kerry Hyder for a steal.
Seattle is remaining active, recently bringing back another key contributor.
The Seahakws have re-signed EDGE Carlos Dunlap to a two-year deal, reuniting the team with an important part of their defense. Seattle actually released Dunlap earlier this month to free up cap space, but the two sides were able to agree to a more affordable deal to keep him around.
Dunlap joined the Seahawks after a trade from the Cincinnati Bengals midway through last season, and he made an immediate impact. The 11-year vet racked up 14 QB hits, 6.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks and 2 passes defended in eight games.
News of Dunlap's re-signing coincided with reports that the team is moving on from Jarran Reed, which will save the team almost $9 million in cap space.
