According to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, the Saints head into Mercedes-Benz Stadium as 4-point favorites over the hometown Falcons, with odds set at -110 for either team to cover the spread. New Orleans also holds -194 moneyline odds, while Atlanta is +162 to pull off a divisional upset.
The Saints and Falcons split their pair of regular season meetings in 2021 with the away team coming out on top in each game. Overall, New Orleans is 7-2 straight up in its last nine games against Atlanta and, but not every win was a blowout as three of those victories came within one possession.
The Saints re-signed Jameis Winston to be their starting quarterback and hope a revamped receiving core can improve the passing attack. Meanwhile, the Falcons enter a new era with QB Marcus Mariota and will likely keep leaning on versatile offensive weapon Cordarrelle Patterson.
Both teams will be vying to make the playoffs this season after failing to secure a postseason berth in 2021. The Saints have odds set at +140 to achieve that goal, while the Falcons face an uphill fight with odds set at +620, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
