The New Orleans Saints have dropped four straight games as they patiently wait the return of superstar running back Alvin Kamara, who hasn't played since Week 9 with a MCL sprain. Unfortunately, the Saints will have to wait a little longer to see the return of their do-it-all back.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed that Kamara will be out for the Saints Week 13 Thursday Night Football contest with the Dallas Cowboys.

Alvin Kamara Injury Update

There was some possibility that Kamara would suit up in Week 13 as he was present at practice throughout the week. But, it's clear the Saints don't want to rush their leading rusher and receiver back and risk re-aggravating his knee injury.

Kamara has been the lone bright spot for a New Orleans offense that ranks just 27th in yards per game (309.4). Despite only playing in 8 games, Kamara leads the team with 530 rushing yards, 32 receptions and 7 total TDs.

New Orleans has a tough task against the Cowboys in Thursday Night Football and enters this matchup as 5.5-point home underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook.
