Saints Being Disrespected by Latest Bleacher Report NFL Power Rankings

The New Orleans Saints are set to begin the post-Drew Brees era in 2021. While the starting quarterback role is now a fierce competition between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill, the rest of the supporting cast returns. With only one change under center in mind, New Orleans is being seriously disrespected by the latest Bleacher Report power rankings.

Saints NFL Power Rankings
The Saints check in at the No. 19 spot in the latest power rankings and there's no doubt that this ranking stems from New Orleans' lack of landing a bigger-name quarterback in free agency.
While some other options were out there, including Matthew Stafford among others, Saints head coach Sean Payton decided to stick with what he's got at the position. It will be interesting to see which quarterback earns the starting job.
Hill has spent the entirety of his four-year NFL career in New Orleans operating as Brees' backup. He saw a lot of in-game action and would come in for special running schemes and even as a pass-catcher. Winston, on the other hand, played his last full season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019 where he led the league with 5,109 passing yards. He also led the league with 33 interceptions.
Demario Davis and Malcolm Jenkins lead a fierce Saints defense that finished top-six in yards allowed, points allowed, and turnovers forced.
The Buccaneers may be the favorite to win the NFC South with odds set at -175 but New Orleans checks in second at +290 odds, according to NFL future odds posted on FanDuel Sportsbook.
