The Denver Broncos suffered another disappointing loss in Week 4, falling to the Las Vegas Raiders by a score of 32-23. While the offense has been less than dynamic at times, the main focus switched to Russell Wilson's health after an early look at Denver's injury report.
Wilson, who is an ironman that's missed just three games in his NFL career, logged limited participation statuses on Monday and Tuesday. Ahead of a short-week and Thursday Night Football matchup in Week 5, Broncos fans are eager for more clarity around Wilson's shoulder injury.
Fortunately, the nine-time Pro Bowl QB cleared up any fears of missing Week 5.
Russell Wilson Injury Update
Wilson spoke with reporter's following a walkthrough on Tuesday, and indicated he is "super confident" he'll play on Thursday without limitations.
This is a big sigh of relief for Broncos nation. The injury stems from shoulder soreness he experienced following the Raiders loss. Although that's nothing serious, the short turnaround between games adds to these fears.
Wilson looks poised to suit up and the Broncos will need a better offensive performance from their big free-agent signing. The Broncos currently rank 30th in points scored, 21st in total offensive yards and 19th in passing yards.
Fortunately, Wilson and his team will play at home in this matchup with a scrappy Indianapolis Colts defense. FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds show the Broncos as slime 3-point home favorites.
