The Baltimore Ravens could certainly use some pass-rushing enforcements after Yannick Ngakoue and Matt Judon both walked in free agency. News of the team meeting with Pro Bowl EDGE Justin Houston was enough to get excited about, especially since he remains unsigned and had little reported interest so far.
However, Baltimore may face competition if they want to ink Houston to a deal this offseason.
Justin Houston Ravens
It seems as though the Indianapolis Colts are now interested in bringing back their free-agent pass-rusher. Houston has spent his last two seasons with the team, and they have the fifth-most cap space in the league, per Spotrac – so they can certainly outbid almost anyone if they want.
Houston racked up 19.0 sacks over his past two years in Indy, along with 21 tackles for loss. The 32-year-old and four-time Pro Bowler certainly has something left in the tank. He's an experienced pass-rusher who could immediately make an impact on any team.
Houston's 8.0 sacks in 2020 would've been the most on the Ravens' defense, almost totaling more than the 9.0 sacks Judon and Ngakoue combined for last season. Baltimore has around $13 million left in cap space, and they'll need to tap into those funds if they want to land Houston.
