Ravens Fans Will Love John Harbaugh's Comments on Lamar Jackson Extension

One of the biggest stories surrounding the Baltimore Ravens this offseason is the status of contract extension between the team and star quarterback Lamar Jackson. Baltimore has been in negotiations with the former NFL MVP for over a year, but there's no deal on the table yet.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh recently offered a positive take on where talks currently stand.
Harbaugh said he doesn’t have any updates on Lamar Jackson’s contract, “but I’d love for something to get done. I’m confident it’s going to happen. I know he’s going to be our quarterback.”

Lamar Jackson Contract Extension
Though Harbaugh didn't have any concrete updates to share, he said Monday that he's "confident" an extension will be worked out. So even without a deal in place right now, it doesn't sound like anyone should be panicking just yet.
It's certainly encouraging to hear Harbaugh so optimistic about locking down Jackson long term. Stars around the league have swapped teams this offseason due to contract negotiations breaking down, and it's no wonder fans have wondered if the same case could happen here.
Given how long Baltimore and its QB have been in talks over a deal, it's likely only a matter of time before an extension is worked out. It'd be great for both sides to have their long-term future settled heading into the 2022 season.
The Ravens own the sixth-best odds to win Super Bowl LVII at +1100, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
