Rashod Bateman has looked on the verge of a breakout more than once in his first two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, but an inability to stay healthy has really held him back.

Those injury concerns once again reared their head in Week 6, as Bateman continues to miss practice and appears increasingly unlikely to suit up against the New York Giants.

Rashod Bateman Injury Update

Bateman got off to a terrific start in his sophomore season, turning 8 receptions into 226 yards and 2 touchdowns while averaging an absurd 28.25 yards per reception across his first three games. He then left Week 4's game against the Buffalo Bills with just 17 yards on 3 receptions and hasn't been on the field since.

For an explosive big-play threat like Bateman, a foot injury is more than just a nuisance. Slowing him down completely changes his game, and it makes sense that the Ravens are taking a cautious approach to avoid risking re-injury.

Both Devin Duvernay and Demarcus Robinson played over 70% of Baltimore's offensive snaps with Bateman out last week, which is the first time all season that either one has eclipsed that mark. Look for them both to continue doing the heavy lifting out wide for as long as Bateman is on the shelf.

Despite missing their top wideout, the Ravens are still 5.5-point road favorites against the red-hot Giants this week on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
