Rams Playoff Odds Reflect Slight Boost From Week 14 Win Over Seattle Ahead of Tough Upcoming Stretch

The Los Angeles Rams pulled off a critical divisional win over the Seattle Seahawks on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 14, sending some new waves through the NFC playoff race.

The Rams are still on the outside looking in, but they are sitting just one game behind the Minnesota Vikings and the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoff picture. LA is still in the race, just as long as the Rams can conquer a tougher upcoming schedule to close out the 2019 season.

Odds of Rams Making Playoffs

If the Rams make the playoffs, they certainly will have earned it by the look of their current odds to do so. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Rams are staring at +182 odds to make the playoffs and -250 to miss out, which are some of the tightest odds among remaining NFC playoff contenders.

The Rams need to win a minimum of two games down the stretch, hitting the road to face the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers in back-to-back contests before a Week 17 home matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. 

The Week 14 win over Seattle boosted the Rams' odds to make the playoffs by 7.3 percent, according to Football Outsiders. Overall, they give the Rams a 23.5 percent shot at the postseason, compared to the Vikings' 81.0 percent.

The Vikings currently have the No. 6 seed, with a single-game lead over the Rams. The Vikings would also own a potential tiebreaker over the Rams, thanks to a stronger record against NFC opponents (by one game).

Either way you want to look at it, the Rams need to have a strong finish to the 2019 season if they want to battle their way into the NFC playoff picture.
