Raiders Land Derek Carr Replacement in Todd McShay's Post-Super Bowl Mock Draft

Now that the Super Bowl is wrapped up and the Kansas City Chiefs officially walked away as world champions, the league can fully shift focus toward the offseason. For many teams, the biggest date on the offseason calendar is the 2023 NFL Draft.
ESPN insider and draft expert Todd McShay released his post-Super Bowl mock draft on Wednesday morning. For the Las Vegas Raiders, it means an opportunity to land quarterback Derek Carr's replacement after his very public breakup with the franchise.

Raiders Mock Draft
According to McShay, Las Vegas will select Kentucky quarterback Will Levis with the No. 7 overall selection. McShay does note -- which is important for Raiders fans to hear -- that this won't stop the franchise from exploring "other available veterans" at QB. It's a hope that Las Vegas can somehow swing Aaron Rodgers away from the Green Bay Packers and reunite him with Davante Adams.
Even if the Raiders do land a veteran, they still must think about the future and Levis is a great fit. McShay touts his "huge arm" and impressive quarterback build at 230 pounds. Additionally, the Kentucky prospect has experience with pro-style systems, making his NFL transition a bit easier.
The biggest question mark around Levis is his struggles taking care of the football. Levis combined for 23 interceptions in the last two years combined and will need head coach Josh McDaniels to clean up that aspect of his game.
