Pelicans Injury Report
Zion Williamson and Lonzo Ball have already been ruled out, while Brandon Ingram is listed as doubtful. This will be the sixth straight missed game for Ball, who is currently dealing with a hip injury, while Williamson suffered a thumb injury during his last game. Ingram is suffering from right toe inflammation.
Those absences are going to open up a ton of fantasy viability with the Pelicans on FanDuel. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a good bet to lead the team in usage.
He’s increased his usage rate by 6.3 percentage points with Williamson, Ball, and Ingram off the court this season, resulting in an average of 1.29 FanDuel points per minute. Josh Hart has also seen a large usage bump with all three players off the court.
This news has also had a major impact on FanDuel Sportsbook. The Pelicans were originally listed as 10.5-point favorites vs. the Magic, but they’re down to just -5.0.
