The Kansas City Chiefs squeaked out a 34-28 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 14. The Chiefs got out to a big lead early on but allowed Denver to get back into it largely because of Patrick Mahomes' season-high 3 interceptions.

Yes, Mahomes did also throw 3 touchdowns and finished with 352 passing yards, but he clearly felt bad about the mistakes. After the game, he thanked his teammates on Twitter for picking up the slack and overcoming his miscues.

Kansas City Chiefs News

While Denver boasts one of the best defenses in the NFL, Mahomes holds himself to a high standard and knows three picks in a game are unacceptable. You simply can't give away possessions like that and expect to win in the NFL.

Kansas City managed to win both because of and in spite of Mahomes, whose MVP odds (+200) slipped behind Jalen Hurts (-150) at FanDuel Sportsbook after the sloppy game.

The Chiefs will look to rebound in Week 15 in what should be a juicy matchup for Mahomes and his teammates. They take on the lowly Houston Texans, who have the worst record in the NFL at 1-11-1. Kansas City is currently a massive 14-point road favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
