San Diego Padres took the health of Fernando Tatis Jr. very seriously this season. Tatis made some starts in the outfield after his shoulder injury earlier in the year, and the Padres will do whatever it takes to ensure Tatis has a long and prosperous career.
However, news of an offseason motorcycle accident prompted serious concern over Tatis.
Thankfully, Tatis is said to be okay following a "minor" accident in the Dominican Republic. He received treatment for scrapes at a local medical facility, and he's already returned to normal activities.
That's a huge sigh of relief for the Padres. Tatis is coming off of the best year of his career, earning his first All-Star nod while recording 42 home runs and 97 RBI. He took home the Silver Slugger for the second straight season and finished third in NL MVP voting as well.
