The Green Bay Packers finally halted a brutal five game losing skid in Week 10. Aaron Rodgers and his crew battled for an impressive overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys, although not every player walked away from this game happy.

Second-year wideout and punt returner Amari Rodgers coughed up his fifth fumble of the year in the win. Poised to lose his starting role, the Packers took things a step further.

On Tuesday, Green Bay announced the release of both Rodgers and another 2021 draft pick, running back Kylin Hill.

As pointed out by Packers insider Matt Schneidman, Rodgers' release is a worse look for general manager Brian Gutekunst and his staff. The team traded up in the third round to acquire Rodgers. Less than two years later he's been released.

Rodgers was the third player Green Bay drafted in 2021. They spent the No. 85 overall pick to acquire his talents. In 1.5 years, the young playmaker had mainly been relegated to special teams duties. He owns just 8 receptions on 16 career targets.

Green Bay then selected Hill in the 7th round (No. 256 overall). He captured a pair of touchdowns, but rushed just 11 times for 31 yards across 10 games played.
