Oklahoma Opens as Clear Favorite Over Oregon in Alamo Bowl

NCAA college football's Championship Week is behind us, which means fans' can now focus on this season's upcoming bowl games. There are several intriguing matchups slated for the next month or so, including the Alamo Bowl, played between the No. 14 Oregon Ducks and No. 16 Oklahoma Sooners.

FanDuel Sportsbook is currently favoring Oklahoma as the 4.5-point favorite with -110 odds to cover the spread. Oregon also has -110 odds to cover as the underdog.

Opening Alamo Bowl Odds

The Sooners are also listed as the -196 moneyline favorites, while the Ducks sit at +158 odds to start the week.

This year's Alamo Bowl will mark Oklahoma's first time competing at the event. The Sooners will be looking to end the season on a high note after losing two of their last three games to Baylor and Oklahoma State.

Meanwhile, this will be Oregon's third appearance at the annual spectacle. The Ducks are 1-1 in Alamo Bowl games, with their latest showing ending in a 47-41 overtime loss to TCU on Jan. 2, 2016.

This month's meeting will be the eighth head-to-head matchup between Oklahoma and Oregon, with the former going 6-1 in the series. Their last collision resulted in the Ducks beating the Sooners, 34-33, back in 2006.

The 2021 Alamo Bowl will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 9:15 p.m. at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.
