With a 2-0 lead in the 2019 World Series, the Washington Nationals are the favorites to win for the first time all season. Their opponent, the Houston Astros, have been somewhere toward the top of the odds throughout the year – something that changed with back-to-back losses at home in the first two games of this series.

The Astros' odds swung from -240 prior to Game 1, to +200 heading into tonight's Game 3, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Astros have had plus-odds at other points in the season, but they've been the favorite to win since the MLB Trade Deadline. Once the MLB postseason field was set, they were awarded the exact same odds that they have now – +200 to win the World Series. And that's while trailing 2-0 with three games (if necessary) set to be played in our nation's capital.

Houston opened the season with +700 odds to be named MLB's 2019 champion, and slowly but surely improved its chances to win it all throughout a grueling 162-game regular season.

If the Astros can notch their first victory in the series, these odds are sure to move again. But, for now, we can call the Astros an underdog heading into Game 3.
