Noah Fant Fantasy Outlook Provides Safe TE1 Production in 2021
By Larry Rupp

The tight end position is noticeably shallow in fantasy football, which makes finding a reliable starter that much more important when drafting this fall. Denver Broncos' Noah Fant looks poised to put together a TE1 type season in 2021 and his low draft price makes him a safe pick across leagues.
Noah Fant leads all qualified tight ends in yards after catch per reception since entering the league and he's done it with a deeper ADoT than George Kittle and Jonnu Smith, who are 2nd and third. There's so much upside there.

Noah Fant Fantasy Outlook
Fant improved in almost every statistical category from 2019 to 2020. He saw his targets rise from 66 to 93 and posted a career-high 673 receiving yards as well. The 23-year-old averaged just under 45 yards per game and ended up finishing as the No. 9 tight end in PPR leagues.
The third-year TE is reportedly developing a deeper variety of routes during training camp and that could help him excel in 2021. The consistency Fant has shown week-to-week is what makes him stick out at the position. Denver started a number of different quarterbacks in 2020, yet Fant still averaged 6.2 targets per game.
The only thing holding him back from having a massive season is the depth of offensive weapons in Denver. Wide receiver Courtland Sutton is expected to be ready to go by Week 1 and he will certainly cut into Fant's target share. Fellow tight end Albert Okwuegbunam is also fully healthy and he essentially split the work with Fant in his four games played last season seeing 15 targets overall.
All things considered, Fant has proven that he can be a reliable starter in fantasy football, but there isn't much top-5 upside given his current surroundings. He is a great option to target for fantasy managers planning to wait at the position.
FantasyPros' average draft position shows that Fant is being drafted at No. 80 overall and No. 7 amongst TEs in PPR leagues. Meanwhile, he comes in at TE7 in The Duel's 2021 fantasy football rankings.
