NFL Playoffs Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Bears vs Saints Wild Card Game

The NFC Wild Card slate is capped off with a matchup between the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon. Quarterback Drew Brees and the Saints head into this game as 9.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL playoff odds.
If you're still looking to get your fantasy football fix, there are plenty of formats available to keep playing throughout the NFL Playoffs. Here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Bears-Saints showdown.
David Montgomery Fantasy
Start David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears: David Montgomery has been on fire as of late and is finally seeing the carries worthy of a workhorse running back. He has scored at least 1 touchdown in each of his last five games and is averaging 99.0 rushing yards per game during that span. In fact, he has scored over 20 PPR fantasy points in each of his last six games. The one way the Bears can keep the Saints' daunting offense on the sidelines is to feed Montgomery and control the clock. Expect him to receive upwards of 20 carries and have a big day because of it.
Jared Cook Fantasy
Start Jared Cook, TE, New Orleans Saints: Here we have another player who really improved near the end of the regular season. Jared Cook has carved out a solid role in this Saints' offense as he has scored over 11 PPR fantasy points in four of his last five games. He has found the end zone three times over that span and now draws a great matchup in the Wild Card round. The Bears' defense has given up the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season as well as 12 touchdowns (third-most in the NFL). Cook should have no problem exploiting this defense and has a decent shot to score another touchdown.
Mitchell Trubisky Fantasy
Sit Mitchell Trubisky, QB, Chicago Bears: The Bears chances of pulling off the upset may rest on Mitchell Trubisky's shoulders, but that doesn't mean he is a reliable fantasy option this week. Trubisky has failed to rack up over 300 yards of total offense in any game this season and has thrown an interception in each of his last three. This matchup does not look like one in which he can turn it all around. The Saints' defense is tied for the league lead with 18 interceptions on the season and has given up the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in the NFL. This is not a good spot for Trubisky.
Latavius Murray Fantasy
Sit Latavius Murray, RB, New Orleans Saints: This might seem like a good spot to start an underrated running back like Latavius Murray, but it isn't likely he has a big day on the ground. He is coming off of a Week 16 performance in which he rushed for 72 yards on 12 carries, but it was during a blowout win. The playoffs are where the Saints rely heavily on starter Alvin Kamara, which could mean limited work for Murray. Plus, the Bears are only giving up 4.1 yards per carry this season (T-No. 8 in the NFL). There are better options than starting Murray this week.
