There was a massive shakeup in the NBA MVP odds two weeks ago. Injuries to Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Philadelphia 76ers stud Joel Embiid significantly altered the MVP race in March. Embiid (+360) has returned and tightened the race for Most Valuable Player, but he still trails the favorite, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (-155), in the odds to win NBA MVP on FanDuel Sportsbook.
A month ago, Embiid leapfrogged James for the lead in the MVP odds race. LeBron remains out with injury, and he's fallen out of the MVP race as his odds have doubled over the past 10 days.
Jokic has remained healthy and put up insane numbers while leading the Nuggets. The star center is averaging 26.3 points, 10.9 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game.
Embiid leads the 76ers with 29.9 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. He missed three weeks with a foot injury, and returned on April 3.
Both Denver and Philadelphia are in second place in their respective divisions as their teams remain contenders in the NBA championship race.
