FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
James Harden Fantasy
Target James Harden ($10,600), SG, Brooklyn Nets: James Harden is on a recent roll, and he'll get a great matchup in the Sacramento Kings to hopefully keep it up. While Harden is known as a scoring flamethrower, his all-around abilities have been on display especially of late, averaging 23.0 points, 11.9 assists and 8.8 rebounds per game over his last eight contests. He's not relied on to score 40-plus every night (although he's certainly capable) and it's giving him the energy to stuff the stat even more. Against a Kings defense that's allowing the second-most opponent PPG (118.7), he should have no issues finding the bottom of the net and setting his teammates up to do the same.
DeMarcus Cousins Fantasy
Target DeMarcus Cousins ($6,100), C, Houston Rockets: DeMarcus Cousins is a great value option to fill out your lineups on Monday. With breakout big man Christian Wood out once again, it clears the way for Cousins to be featured heavily down low for Houston. In the past five games with Wood sidelined, Cousins is averaging 10.8 PPG, 9.6 RPG and 2 APG in 24.9 minutes per contest -- aside from assists, those numbers all outpace his season averages. He'll get the chance to feast against a Washington Wizards team giving up the most PPG (119.1) to opponents this year, and the Wizards' league-high pace (103.6) should mean plenty of opportunities for Boogie.
Lou Wiliams Fantasy
Target Lou Williams ($6,600), SG, Los Angeles Clippers: Lou Williams has the hot hand, and sometimes the best strategy is just to enjoy the ride. Paul George's current five-game absence has allowed Williams to blow his season averages out of the water with 23.0 PPG and 6.0 APG over that timespan. The Clippers' sixth man has put up his three best scoring outings (30, 27, and 23 points) with PG13 sidelined, and George is considered a game-time decision on Monday. With him being unable to play on Sunday, there's little reason to think George will suit up tonight, and that will give Lou Will the green light once again.
John Collins Fantasy
Avoid John Collins ($7,600), PF, Atlanta Hawks: John Collins is a talented young big man, but he's not exempt from off nights like the one he had on Friday, where he registered just 9 points and 6 rebounds with 3 turnovers. He could be in for another poor performance on Monday against a stifling New York Knicks defense that's allowing the fewest opponent PPG in the league (103.2). The Knicks also play at the league's slowest pace (95.6), which will mean less chances for the Atlanta Hawks to get out and run, which is an area Collins shines in. Given his matchup, he's worth avoiding on Monday.
Ben Simmons Fantasy
Avoid Ben Simmons ($8,900), PG, Philadelphia 76ers: Ben Simmons' inability to add to his scoring repertoire has been on display this season, with the former No. 1 overall pick averaging the fewest PPG (14.1) of his career. However, he may be looked to for scoring on Monday against the Utah Jazz with Joel Embiid a game-time decision. Simmons takes an astounding 97.4% of his field goal attempts in 2-point range, but he'll have face the NBA's best defense against 2-point shots (48.3% tonight). If Embiid is sidelined, that suffocates the Philadelphia 76ers' offense even more, and the shooting-inept Simmons will likely struggle against this top defense.
