NBA DFS 11/4/2021

Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Thursday, 11/4, NBA DFS action.

FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 11/4

Trae Young Fantasy

Target Trae Young, PG, Atlanta Hawks ($8,600): Trae Young has tallied at least 40 FanDuel fantasy points in five of his eight games and all while shooting a below-average clip at three-point range. Young is making just 27.9% of his three pointers, a far cry from his career average 34.2% clip. It's hard to imagine he goes much longer shooting below 30% and that could mean a big game is looming. We love this matchup against Utah, who is playing an above-average 100.57 pace and could be without Donovan Mitchell and Royce O'Neale.

Christian Wood Fantasy

Target Christian Wood, C, Houston Rockets ($7,900): Christian Wood continues to carve out a prominent role on this weaker Houston Rockets roster. He's fresh off scoring 50+ FanDuel fantasy points against the Lakers earlier this week and touts a 60+ point performance on his early 2021-22 resume. Wood now leads all Rockets with his 23.5% usage rate while averaging a double-double with 20.1 points and 12.1 rebounds per contest. His price is friendly for a big man with such high usage rate.

Georges Niang Fantasy

Target Georges Niang, PF, Philadelphia 76ers ($3,700): Georges Niang has been the biggest beneficiary of Tobias Harris' absence from Philadelphia's starting five. Niang is our value play of the day and a favorable option given Harris will remain sidelined with COVID-19 protocols. Niang has logged back-to-back games with 30+ minutes played and a pair of 25+ FanDuel fantasy points outings. Look for that trend to continue. Niang averaged 19.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists during that span and could be in for a big night against the Pistons defense that ranks in the bottom third of defensive net rating.

Saddiq Bey Fantasy

Avoid Saddiq Bey, SF, Detroit Pistons ($5,600): The NBA features a small slate of five games tonight, leaving Saddiq Bey as the 10th-highest priced small forward in action. He's not terribly overpriced at $5,600 but don't expect a value play performance from the the second-year wing. Bey averages 14.1 points per game but on a dreadful 28.6% shooting from deep. He also ranks just fourth amongst Pistons starters with a 20.9% usage rate. Bey trended back to his norm with Tuesday's performance, a four point outing in which he made just 2-of-13 field goal attempts and ended with 16.9 FanDuel fantasy points. There are better value plays at wing tonight considering Philadelphia ranks near the top-10 in defensive net rating.

Al Horford Fantasy

Avoid Al Horford, PF/C, Boston Celtics ($7,900): It's pretty remarkable that Al Horford averages 43.8 FanDuel fantasy points on just a 20% usage rate. That's in-part to his ability to churn out double-doubles, a trend that may be in jeopardy against the Miami Heat. Horford pulls down 10.7 rebounds per game, however faces a Heat squad that ranks first in overall rebounding percentage and defensive rebounding percentage. The older Horford may not be in store for an easy 10 rebounds against this more athletic Heat squad and that puts his DFS value in question.
