Myles Gaskin Fantasy Outlook Climbs After Impressive Thursday Night Performance
By Larry Rupp

When the Miami Dolphins signed running back Jordan Howard and traded for Matt Breida, it was expected that those two would split the backfield work this season. However, second-year player Myles Gaskin has solidified himself as the team's feature running back through three weeks and has proven to be a solid fantasy football pickup so far.
Gaskin followed up his strong performances in Week 1 & 2 with yet an even stronger one in a Week 3 win on Thursday Night Football against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Gaskin carried the ball 22 times for 66 rushing yards and added in 29 receiving yards on 5 receptions.

Myles Gaskin Fantasy Outlook
Gaskin dominated the snap count among Dolphins' running backs in Week 3 and the 2019 NFL Draft seventh-round pick is quickly becoming the No.1 option out of the backfield for quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Gaskin has averaged over 5 targets a game so far this year, showing his role as a dual-threat running back in this offense.
Surpassing his total carries and rushing yards from last season in just three games this year shows the amount of trust the Dolphin's are developing in Gaskin. The only issue from a fantasy outlook is his lack of touches down near the endzone. Jordan Howard has scored a rushing touchdown in each game this year and they all came from short distance.
Gaskin has reached the endzone just once in his career, but that number will have to increase if fantasy managers want to be comfortable starting him week in and week out. He draws a tough matchup in Week 4 as he faces a Seattle Seahawks defense that has given up just 69.5 rushing yards per game so far this year (No. 2 in the NFL).
Yes, it has been awhile since a Dolphins running back has put in a workhorse performance like Myles Gaskin vs. the Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. Here's how it came to be. https://t.co/usYeVLPuva

Moving forward, Gaskin seems to be a safe RB3/FLEX option in fantasy football with the potential to put up low-end RB2 numbers by the end of the season. He will most certainly be a popular waiver wire pickup across all formats this week, especially with the amount of injuries to starting running backs in the league so far.
