The Cleveland Browns may have stumbled against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5, but that didn't slow down the impressive season Myles Garrett is enjoying.

Cleveland's leading defensive playmaker was all over the field again in Week 5, recording 2 tackles, 1.0 sack, 3 quarterback hits and 1 pass defended. This brilliant start has Garrett taking an early lead in FanDuel Sportsbook's Defensive Player of the Year award odds, ranking first with +350 odds to take home the hardware.

The two-time Pro Bowl defensive end is doing what he does best: making the lives of opposing quarterbacks a living mess. Garrett leads the league with 7.0 sacks, including a brilliant 4.5-sack performance in Week 3.

NFL Single-Season Sack Record

Better yet, his 7.0 sacks through five games is on pace for a new NFL record. Michael Strahan, formerly of the New York Giants, holds the current record of 22.5 sacks during the 2001 NFL season. If Garrett keeps up his current pace, he could end the season with almost 24 (23.8) sacks.

Garrett and the Browns head into Week 6 with a touch matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Cleveland enters this clash as 3-point home favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook.
