The weather has already had a profound effect on the April 19 slate of MLB games. The matchup between the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians has been postponed due to heavy rain in Cleveland.

Similarly, there is rain expected in Detroit, which could mean the matchup between the Chicago White Sox and Tigers will either be delayed or postponed as well.

Thunder is expected in Miami tonight for the matchup between the Washington Nationals and the Marlins. The threat of thunder will likely cause the Marlins to close the roof, so this game should proceed as scheduled.

Strong winds are expected in the matchup between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Yankees. Often times, strong winds can lead to balls carrying in the outfield (or keep them in the park, depending on wind direction).

However, there's also a chance of thunder today in New York. If that's the case, and thunder results in a delay, that could force this game's starting pitchers out early. If you have CC Sabathia or Jakob Junis in your fantasy lineup, you may want to move them to the bench tonight.

Overall, it looks like the weather could play a significant part in today's slate of MLB games.
