Mitchell Schwartz Finally Properly Respected in Latest PFF Offensive Line Rankings

The Kansas City Chiefs have been disrespected by their peers in the NFL Top 100 list. Even Patrick Mahomes, the man who was given a contract worth $500 million, ranked just fourth overall. But blocking for him is star offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz, and he was also disrespected, failing to even crack the top 100.
This snub continues what has become a baffling trend, as Schwartz has never been named to a Pro Bowl in his eight-year career. But finally, it looks like someone got it right.
The analysts at Pro Football Focus released their rankings of the top 25 offensive tackles in football, and Schwartz rightfully checked in at No. 1 overall.
How can Mitchell Schwartz be so disrespected?

Reliability and durability are of the upmost importance for offensive linemen. Schwartz checks these boxes and then some, playing over 1,000 snaps in every season of his career.
Where Schwartz really thrives is in his pass protection, which is especially useful in the Chiefs' high-powered passing offense. In fact, Schwartz did not give up a single sack in 2019, committing just five penalties all year. On top of that, he gave just five QB hits, keeping Mahomes' jersey clean.
Schwartz continues to be one of the best offensive tackles in the game. It's absolutely absurd that he doesn't have many accolades to show for it, but at least the folks at PFF recognize just how special he really is.
