The Atlanta Braves will have a new infielder in their lineup. The Braves have completed a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers to acquire Orlando Arcia. There's no word yet on what the Brewers will be receiving in return, but Atlanta will get an infielder that can play all over the diamond.

There were rumors the San Diego Padres were also in the running for Arcia since Fernando Tatis Jr. may have to miss some time with a partially dislocated shoulder. It looks like Atlanta beat San Diego to the punch in grabbing themselves a utility infielder they clearly see as an upgrade.

Arcia has never been a player that knocks the cover off the ball but he has shown some improvement over the last few seasons. The 26-year-old Venezuelan hit .260 in 2020 for the second-best batting average of his career. Arcia also had five home runs and 20 RBI in 173 at-bats last season. In 2019, the middle-infielder tied for a career-high 15 home runs and hit his professional-high in RBI (59). He's widely available in fantasy leagues and may be worth a look at FanDuel as a thrifty alternative.

The change of scenery could do Arcia some good, and the Braves have a dynamic offense. Barring any snags, Arcia should be in Atlanta's lineup this week.
