Updated (Friday, Sept. 10, 2:45 p.m. EST): Michael Gallup is expected to miss the next 3-5 weeks due to a calf strain he suffered Thursday night. While Gallup is sidelined, CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper should both be viewed as legitimate WR1s.

The Dallas Cowboys put on a passing clinic on Thursday night ravaging the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' secondary to the tune of 403 yards through the air. Wide receiver Michael Gallup made a few highlight reel catches, but he ended up leaving the game with an ankle injury.

Gallup will undergo further tests on Friday to determine the extent of his injury. It isn't known yet whether the fourth-year pro will be forced to miss any time. For now, the injury boosts the fantasy outlooks of his fellow WRs CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper.

CeeDee Lamb Fantasy Outlook

It was an up-and-down night for CeeDee Lamb as he had some glaring drops early on in the first half. However, quarterback Dak Prescott continued to feed him the ball. Lamb ended up hauling in 7 of his career-high 15 targets for 104 yards and 1 touchdown.

There is no reason to believe the Cowboys will stop throwing the ball anytime soon and that benefits Lamb moving forward. Working out of the slot position allows the 22-year-old to be the check-down option when Prescott gets pressured. Lamb's 14.9 yards per catch mark also showed potential as a deep threat.

Lamb was being drafted as a borderline WR1 in many fantasy football leagues. He has a shot to live up to those expectations given his volume continues to increase.

Amari Cooper Fantasy Outlook

Amari Cooper picked up right where he left off by racking up 139 yards and 1 touchdown on 13 receptions in Week 1. He also maintained his reputation as Prescott's favorite target seeing a team-high 16 targets. It was a great start for Cooper, who finished as the No. 15 WR in PPR scoring leagues last year.

If Gallup if forced to miss any kind of game action, both Lamb and Cooper could realistically see a small uptick in targets. Gallup was thrown to seven times on Thursday night and Prescott tied a career high with 58 pass attempts despite Dallas never trailing by more than 9 points.

Cooper has already cemented his spot amongst the high-end WR2 crew, but he could push for WR1 consideration in the coming weeks.
