Micah Parsons Draft Odds Project Most Likely Landing Spots

One player who likely won't wait long on NFL Draft night to hear his name called is linebacker Micah Parsons. The Penn State star is one of the most coveted defensive players in this year's class and could be among the first batch of selections after what's shaping up to be an offense-heavy top 10.

NFL Draft odds on FanDuel Sportsbook provide insight on where Parsons could land. His draft position over/under is set at 11.5, with -110 odds on both the over and under to hit.

Those odds point to two likely destinations for Parsons in the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.

The first 10 picks in the 2021 NFL Draft will have an offensive focus, especially with four QBs possibly going within that span. The Detroit Lions (No. 7) and Denver Broncos (No. 9) could address defense, while the Dallas Cowboys have long been projected as the likely team to select cornerback Patrick Surtain II.

If Parsons doesn't go in the top 10, it could be between the Giants and Eagles. Both teams are in need of a stud playmaking linebacker, and Parsons is certianly that.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound defensive force recorded 14.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks and 4 forced fumbles the last time he took the field in 2019. Coverage skills are also a necessity in today's game, and Parsons displayed the potential to grow in that area with 5 passes defended as a sophomore.

Parsons could create a formidable LB duo with Blake Martinez in New York or recent free-agent signing Eric Wilson in Philadelphia. It'll be hard for either team to pass on the chance to select Parsons come draft night given what he could turn into at the next level.
