The Los Angeles Angels haven't ended an MLB season with an above .500 record since 2015. While it's still early in the 2021 MLB Season, the Angels look poised to snap that streak as they've started off with a 6-2 record.

Currently, the Angels find themselves tied for first in the AL West with the Houston Astros. The two teams have played each other twice the season, with the Angels winning 7-6 in Game 1, followed by the Astros winning 4-2 in the second contest.

However, despite their hot start, the Angels are still being disrespected in terms of World Series odds. FanDuel Sportsbook has given the Angels +2500 odds to win the World Series. That has them tied for 10th-best odds with the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Angels have been a top-10 offensive team to start the 2021 MLB Season. They're driving in 5.88 runs per game (5th), while their batters are hitting at a 0.254 batting average (7th).

One area they could improve on is limiting the opposition's runs. Opposing teams are averaging 4.75 runs per game against the Angels (T-20th). Taking that into account, it means that the team is winning by an average margin of just more than a single run.

Still, if the Angels can start limit runs, it's hard not to like this team. AL MVP candidate Mike Trout, Jared Walsh and Shohei Ohtani are in a three-way tie with 3 home runs apiece to lead the team. Trout also leads the team with a .429 batting average and .568 on-base percentage.

Meanwhile, Walsh leads the Angels with 9 RBI and Ohtani has made one pitching appearance so far, leaving after 4 2/3 innings with a 1.93 ERA.

After looking at those stats, it's understandable why the Angels and their fans would feel disrespected by FanDuel Sportsbook's World Series odds.

But if they want to prove the doubters wrong, they'll need to continue this level of play for the rest of the season.
