The Pittsburgh Steelers are desperate to snap their current four-game losing streak, but they'll face a tall task in Week 6. Not only is Pittsburgh playing a tough Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad, as the team also enters this clash not particularly healthy.
Steelers insider Ryan Fittipaldo outlined a long list of Steelers players that are at risk of of not suiting up against Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Steelers Injury Report
The list begins with a pair of players Fittipaldo indicated will likely not play. This includes cornerback Levi Wallace and tight end Pat Freiermuth. Wallace did log a limited participation status on Thursday but continues to work back from a concussion. Freiermuth is in a similar boat, logging two LPs in the concussion protocol.
Fittipaldo's list of updates doesn't get much better from there. He mentioned CB Cam Sutton is "likely out" while CB Ahkello Witherspoon is "probably not playing." Both players are dealing with hamstring issues.
Minkah Fitzpatrick is expected to practice on Friday, but it's anyone's guess if he'll get healthy enough for activation on Sunday. Fitzpatrick picked up a knee injury and did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.
This is a tough situation for Mike Tomlin and his secondary, and not a good matchup to be nursing issues in the secondary. Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have racked up the third-most passing yards across the NFL this season. As it stands, Pittsburgh is an 8.5-point home underdog per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
