As the NFL offseason progresses, several prominent names remain in free agency. One that stands out above the rest is former Kansas City Chiefs running back Le'Veon Bell. Some fans may be wondering how he hasn't signed with a team at this point. After all, he's a three-time Pro-Bowler and All-Pro team member, so you'd think that teams would be racing to sign him.

Whether or not he's receiving a lot of attention, Bell has decided to take a different approach to free agency this year. Instead of rushing to make a decision, the 29-year-old running back looks to be taking his time when considering his future.

Bell took to Twitter to voice his new strategy, indicating that he won't fall for any lies just to get him to sign a contract. You certainly can't blame him for his mentality. Despite appearing in nine games with the Chiefs after they acquired him from the New York Jets last season, Bell finished with a career-lows of 63 touches and 20 targets. That's just extremely low for a player with his track record.

The fact of the matter is that things just haven't gone great for Bell after his contract dispute with the Pittsburgh Steelers a few years ago. He sat out for the entire 2018 season because he wanted to be paid what he thought he deserved rather than being franchise tagged again. It also appears as if Bell is still upset about the situation to this day.

Regardless of any personal beef that he has with other teams, it's hard to imagine no one wanting to sign Bell ahead of next season. The veteran running back has 9,712 total yards from scrimmage and 48 touchdowns since 2013. He was one of the league's best backs for the better part of the last decade or so and could still have some good legs under him even as he approaches his 30s.

It will be interesting to see where the RB lands this offseason.
