Lonzo Ball is primed for a potential breakout season, and his younger brother LaMelo Ball has recently become a legitimate candidate to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, while their father LaVar Ball is currently embroiled in a public lawsuit.
Oh yeah, it's safe to say the Big Baller Brand is back.
LaMelo Ball Draft Stock
LaMelo decided to forego college and instead signed with the Illawarra Hawks of Australia's National Basketball League (NBL). He reportedly impressed during the NBL Blitz, which is Australia's annual preseason basketball tournament, and apparently has a real shot at going No. 1 overall in 2020.
ESPN's Jonathan Givony currently has Ball projected to be the No. 3 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
If you're looking to wager on Ball's draft status, FanDuel Sportsbook has him listed at +420 odds to go No. 1 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Whether or not Ball's ascent will continue is anyone's guess, but it's certainly impressive that he's already soaring up draft boards before playing his first regular-season game in the NBL.
