Keenan Allen fantasy managers received a scare late in the week, when Allen was an unexpected late add to the injury report. Following a negative COVID test on Sunday morning, the Los Angeles Chargers receiver is eligible to play against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 9.

Keenan Allen Fantasy Outlook

With a big divisional matchup ahead, Allen should be used early and often now that he's good to go for Week 9.

Through seven games, Allen has been targeted 75 times, and that was with him leaving the Week 5 game after just 12 snaps. He has turned these targets into 53 receptions for 548 yards and 3 touchdowns. Allen has double-digit targets in each of the last five full games he completed.

Allen's injury update also helps out rookie quarterback Justin Herbert, who has averaged 303.3 passing yards per game. Herbert is currently fantasy's QB5 on a per-game basis.

Though Allen is still sick, he should be good to go for Week 9. Currently, he is ranked as WR4 in our Week 9 PPR fantasy football rankings.
