Kareem Hunt Injury Update Boosts Nick Chubb Week 15 Fantasy Outlook

The Cleveland Browns are expected to be without one of their top running backs when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15. Kareem Hunt has been labeled as "unlikely" to play due to the ankle injury he suffered on Sunday. Of course, this development boosts the fantasy outlook of Nick Chubb.

Kareem Hunt Injury Update

Hunt went down with a leg injury early in the first half of the Browns' win over the Baltimore Ravens and did not return to the game. Keep in mind the 26-year-old has already missed five games this season while spending time on the injured reserve with a lingering calf issue.

This is a blow to the Browns' offense in more ways than one. Hunt has been a reliable change-of-pace back behind Chubb and acted as a reliable dump-off option for quarterback Baker Mayfield. Overall, he has racked up 560 yards from scrimmage and 5 touchdowns on a total of 100 touches.

Nick Chubb Fantasy Outlook

Chubb is averaging 18.2 touches per game this season and could easily crush that number on Saturday without Hunt around. The fourth-year pro is averaging an impressive 5.5 yards per carry and now gets to face a Raiders' defense that is allowing 125.3 yards on the ground (No. 26 in NFL).

Las Vegas is also giving up the third-most PPR fantasy points to opposing RBs this season. Chubb was a rock-solid RB1 before Hunt's injury and remains a surefire top option afterwards. He checks in at RB5 in The Duel's Week 15 fantasy football rankings and is a must-start player heading into the fantasy football playoffs.
