The New York Jets received some bad news on Saturday ahead of Sunday's pivotal clash with the Buffalo Bills, as one of their star players was surprisingly added to the Week 9 injury report.
James Robinson Injury Update
According to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport, Jets running back James Robinson was downgraded to questionable on Saturday with a knee injury.
Robinson's last-minute addition to the injury report is an unwelcome development for the Jets, as an absent or limited Robinson would leave them shorthanded in the backfield. The former Jacksonville Jaguar failed to make much of an impact in his debut with New York last week, managing just 17 rushing yards on 5 carries and failing to catch his only target.
Robinson was expected to handle a larger workload this week after having more time to learn the Jets' offense, but now his playing status is in jeopardy. With Breece Hall out for the season with a torn ACL, New York may have to lean on Michael Carter and Ty Johnson more than usual.
If Robinson is unable to go, that will make life even harder for the Jets against their AFC East rivals on Sunday. New York is already listed as a 10.5-point home underdog against Buffalo on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
