Jaylen Waddle was expected to ball out for Alabama in 2020, but an ankle injury derailed that idea as he was only able to play in 6 games. However, he has proven to be an elite wide receiver prospect totaling 17 touchdowns in college and averaging an insane 18.9 yards per reception.

A number of NFL teams will be looking to improve their wide receiver cores in the 2021 NFL Draft and Waddle will be a name to keep in mind. With that being said, here are three of the most likely teams to draft Waddle.

Jaylen Waddle NFL Draft Projections

1. New York Giants (No. 11)

Although the New York Giants did sign free agent wide receiver Kenny Golladay, they could still look to add Waddle in the draft. Waddle has the ability to lineup both in the slot and on the outside, which would really benefit this Giants offense. Lining him up alongside Golladay and Sterling Shepard would create nightmares for opposing secondaries. Plus, giving quarterback Daniel Jones as many weapons as they can should be a to priority for this front office. Waddle has an impressive ability to create yards after the catch and could act as a spark plug on this offense.

2. Philadelphia Eagles (No. 12)

The Philadelphia Eagles made headlines recently as they traded down from the No. 6 overall pick to the No. 12 overall pick. That puts them right in Waddle's expected range and it is no secret that this team needs help at the wide receiver position. Pairing his speed and quickness up with second-year wideout Jalen Reagor would give the team an intriguing duo to work with for years to come. Waddle can create separation in an instant and would improve an offense that ranked No. 28 in the NFL averaging 207.9 passing yards per game last season.

3. New England Patriots (No. 15)

No one ever truly knows what head coach Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots are up to, but it would make sense for them to be targeting Waddle in the first round. New England has made multiple free agent signings including wideouts Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne, but Waddle has the potential to be a game-changing player. He has the explosiveness and physicality necessary to become a top option for quarterback Cam Newton. This is team right on the edge of playoff range and could make a jump with Waddle leading the way.
