Jason Kelce Suffers Hilarious Punishment After Losing Bet With Zach Ertz

Veteran center Jason Kelce is one of the most recognizable Philadelphia Eagles — mostly due to his beard. That's why fans were a bit shocked this week when the 11th-year lineman looked a bit different thanks to his new bleach blonde hair.
It turns out that Kelce's new hairstyle came from losing a bet to Eagles tight end Zach Ertz. The four-time Pro-Bowl center told reporters on Thursday that he bet that Ertz would be traded before the start of the 2021 NFL season. Obviously that didn't happen, leading to the former sixth-round pick's current look.
Jason Kelce’s new hair? The result of a lost bet to Zach Ertz. Kelce thought Ertz was going to be traded before the start of the season.

Kelce went on to tell reporters that his wife wasn't happy with him losing the bet, however, it was a wager that the center is glad he lost. After all, it means that the Eagles get to keep their three-time Pro-Bowl tight end after all signs pointed to him leaving this past offseason.
"It's a bet I'm happy to lose. So not happy with the hair, but happy I lost the bet."

Maybe Kelce's new look is good luck because the Eagles opened up the 2021 NFL season with a dominant 32-6 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Kelce didn't allow a single sack on the 71 offensive snaps he played, which is great for a Philadelphia offense that allowed the most sacks per game in 2020 (4.1).
Meanwhile, Ertz had a quiet showing in Week 1 as he finished the season-opening victory by catching both of his targets for 34 receiving yards. The veteran tight end was given the day off to rest his hamstring on Wednesday, so it'll be interesting to see how his status changes by the weekend.
Kelce, Ertz and the Eagles will look to start the season off 2-0 as they host the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday at 1 p.m. EST. FanDuel Sportsbook is currently listing the 49ers as a 3.5-point favorite.
