The New York Jets have been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, but it looks like they will get a major playmaker back on the field this week. Top wide receiver Jamison Crowder is expected to return and play against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football.
Crowder has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury and has been limited in practice all week. He may not be 100 percent healthy yet, but he is going to give it a shot.
Jamison Crowder Fantasy Outlook
When Crowder plays, he is Sam Darnold's favorite target on offense. In Week 1, Crowder caught 7 of a team high 13 targets for 115 yards and scored a touchdown. Darnold has struggled throwing the ball in the past two games without Crowder as he hasn't surpassed 180 passing yards in either game and threw 3 interceptions against the Colts in a Week 3 loss.
Crowder lead the Jets with 833 receiving yards last season and is a clear-cut WR3 in fantasy football due the the large volume of targets he receives week in and week out. However, he should be looked to more as a WR4 or FLEX option this week as no one truly knows if he will be on a limited snap count or will be played mostly as a decoy since he's not completely healthy.
No matter how much he plays, having Crowder back is a huge boost for the Jets offense in a what is expected to be a closely contested game. The Jets are 1.5-point favorites in this showdown, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Crowder checks in as the No. 28 wide receiver in our Week 4 fantasy football rankings.
