It's been a roller coaster for quarterback Jameis Winston over the past two seasons with the New Orleans Saints. He went from No. 3 on the depth chart in 2020 to the starter in 2021, but a brutal knee injury derailed his year only seven games in.

Winston is slated to become a free agent once again this offseason, and he's already been linked to two teams with QB needs.

Jameis Winston Free Agency

The Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to be "heavily involved" with Winston this offseason, according to Dustin Lewis of Sports Illustrated's NoleGameday.

It's no surprising to see the Saints interested in bringing Winston back. He looked impressive to begin the year, throwing for 1,170 yards and 14 TDs (with just 3 INTs) across six and a half games. New Orleans' offense fell off of a cliff with Winston out, as the likes of Trevor Siemian, Taysom Hill and Ian Book were called upon in his absence.

The Steelers have long been theorized as a potential Winston landing spot. Ben Roethlisberger's retirement leaves them in need of a new QB1, the former No. 1 pick gives them a better shot at staying in playoff contention than Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins.

Winston's impending free agency will be a hot topic around the league, especially coming off of his ACL and MCL injury. Hopefully he can regain his form and prove he's worthy of remaining a starter in the NFL.
