Jamaal Williams Predicts Aaron Rodgers-Packers Split This Offseason
Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers' decision about the future Hall of Famer's future with the storied franchise is one of this NFL offseason's biggest storylines. Rodgers has three choices essentially. He can stay with Green Bay, he can choose to work with the Packers on being traded to another team or he can flat out retire.
Aaron Rodgers Jets Rumors
Rodgers former teammate, and now Detroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams thinks he knows which one will happen. In an appearance on "Good Morning Football", Williams said he thinks Rodgers will end up going to the New York Jets.
The Jets have becoming an incresinglly possible and enticing option in recent weeks. Originally not considered to be major players in the Rodgers sweeptstakes, the Jets do make a ton of sense. They are a team on the rise, and a quarterback away from real contention.
They have a great young group of skill position players, on top of a stellar defense helped run by one of the best defensive minds in the game in Robert Saleh.
There's no indication of how much Rodgers likes the idea of playing in New York or for the Jets, but they might present a better chance at winning than Green Bay does right now. But Williams' guess surely makes you think, and it's hard to imagine it's totally unfounded. He may not have heard what Rodgers is thinking directly, but he indeed has some insight into how he feels and operates in general.
Rumors will surely continue to swirl all offseason until a final resolution on Rodgers plans for next season are revealed.
