There's a lot for Philadelphia Eagles fans to be excited about heading into the 2021 campaign. The 2021 NFL schedule was just officially released and Philadelphia may even have an advantage within the construction of their slate.

Another thing that has Philadelphia fans fired up is the reunion of former Alabama teammates in quarterback Jalen Hurts and new wide receiver DeVonta Smith. The two even discussed the possibility of linking back up in the NFL after playing together in Tuscaloosa.

But the former Crimson Tide teammates aren't satisfied with only playing on the same field together once again. This duo has bigger plans than that.

Smith recently revealed that he and Hurts possess both a great relationship on the field. But, he cautioned that this history will only take the pair so far. "I feel like whatever we did in college, it has nothing to do with now,” said Smith during a recent interview.

The No. 10 draft pick went on to explain that a lot has changed since the last time they shared uniforms. And, if anything, this just shows the motivation and work ethic that the pair brings to the locker room. Clearly, both players want to get better each day and won't rest on their past successes.

As it stands, FanDuel Sportsbook gives the Eagles just +550 odds to win the NFC East, according to the latest NFL odds. But immediate results from the pairing of Hurts and Smith could cause Philadelphia to surprise some this season.
