The Phoenix Suns resume their road trip on Wednesday after suffering a 104-101 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. The Suns should have an easier time against the Hornets, however, who are second-to-last in the Eastern Conference at 20-43.

Phoenix could also get a boost from Kevin Durant, who is finally expected to debut for his new team tonight.

Kevin Durant Injury Update (3/1/2023)

Suns fans have been eagerly awaiting Durant's debut since the team traded for him on Feb. 9. Durant was sidelined by a knee injury at the time, however, and has yet to suit up for Phoenix.

That will finally change on Wednesday, however, as the former MVP will take the court for the first time since Jan. 8.

This is massive news for the Suns, who can start integrating Durant into their starting lineup alongside Chris Paul, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton. Prior to going down, the 13-time All-Star was averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game for the Brooklyn Nets.

A healthy Durant easily makes Phoenix a threat to win a championship this season. As it stands, FanDuel Sportsbook has the Suns available at +450 odds to win the 2022-23 NBA Championship — third best in the Association.

Kevin Durant Fantasy Outlook and Prop Bets Today

With Durant back in the lineup, sports bettors will be able to wager on his prop bets tonight. FanDuel has set his points total at 20.5, his rebound total at 5.5 and his assist total at 3.5. These are all well below his season averages given that he may be rusty and be on a minutes restriction in his first game action in nearly two months. He'll also have to get acclimated to a new offense, which can take time.

As for DFS, Durant carries a price tag of $9,900 for tonight's action. While that's considerably lower than his $10,800 salary for his final game with the Nets, it's still pretty steep for a player with so many question marks. DFS players shouldn't bank on a big showing from KD tonight and would be better off spending that money on a safer option.
