Is Giannis Antetokounmpo Playing Today? (Latest Injury Updates and News for Bucks vs Raptors on April 9)
By Larry Rupp

The Milwaukee Bucks are back in action Sunday afternoon as they face the Toronto Raptors at 1 p.m. ET. One player's status to keep an eye on ahead of tip-off is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is dealing with a knee injury.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Injury Update (4/9/2023)
Antetokounmpo has been ruled out for the Bucks' regular season finale and the official injury report cites right knee soreness as the reason why. The 28-year-old superstar has not played in either of Milwaukee's last two games, which is not too surprising given the team has locked up the No. 1 seed.

OUT:
Grayson Allen (right ankle sprain)
Giannis Antetokounmpo (right knee soreness)
Pat Connaughton (right ankle sprain)
AJ Green (right foot soreness)
Jrue Holiday (rest)
Brook Lopez (rest)
Khris Middleton (right knee soreness)
Giannis joins a long list of Bucks players taking a seat on the sideline Sunday. Both Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez have been ruled out in order to rest, while Khris Middleton finds himself in the same situation as Antetokounmpo. Of course, health is the team's biggest priority prior to the postseason.
The knee injury does not seem to be something worth worrying about as Giannis will have had over a week of rest and recovery once the first playoff games tips off for the Bucks. The Greek Freak has finished up another amazing season, averaging 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Fantasy Outlook and Prop Bets Today
Antetokounmpo is not listed among the players with prop bets available for the Bucks-Raptors game on FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA odds, which is to be expected of a player ruled out. In fact, no player props are listed in a game that is essentially meaningless for both sides. Milwaukee will face the winner of the final play-in game, which could end up being this current No. 9-seeded Toronto team.
Antetokounmpo is listed as a top option on the FanDuel DFS slate, though, checking in with the third-most expensive price tag overall ($11,900). Fantasy managers need to be careful to avoid placing Giannis in their lineup as it will result in a zero spot. Shifting gears to Milwaukee center Bobby Portis ($7,400) makes sense here as he has posted a double-double in four of his last six games played.
