3 Hardest Games on the Broncos Schedule in 2022

The Denver Broncos were one of the busiest teams this NFL offseason, overhauling their roster in hopes of being a Super Bowl contender for the 2022-23 campaign.
Only time will tell if the changes produce actual results for the Broncos, who have the 15th-hardest 2022 schedule, according to ESPN's Mike Clay. Although there certainly are beatable opponents on tap, Denver will surely have its hands filled with others.
Here's a look at the three hardest games on the Broncos' schedule in 2022.
Denver Broncos Schedule 2022
1. @ Kansas City Chiefs
If the Broncos want to be the kings of the AFC West, the team to beat is the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only have the Chiefs won six consecutive divisional titles, but they also haven't lost to the Broncos since September 2015. Patrick Mahomes is 9-0 in his career against Denver and has five 300-plus-yard performances over that stretch. The Broncos must prove that their offseason additions paid off by snatching a win or two away from the rival Chiefs at some point this season. Of course, taking on the Chiefs at Arrowhead will be the harder of the two meetings.
2. @ Los Angeles Rams
Another team that the Broncos have struggled against lately is the Los Angeles Rams. Denver is 0-4 in its last four matchups against LA and hasn't won on the road against the Rams since December 1982. The Rams have tons of momentum behind them due to their Super Bowl victory, making them a good measuring stick to see what the Broncos are capable of. Winning at SoFi Stadium isn't easy for road teams, especially after LA went 3-0 there in the playoffs. Nevertheless, this is a promising matchup that should entertain fans while giving the Broncos one of their toughest tests.
3. vs. Indianapolis Colts
If the Broncos want to be a top AFC team, they're going to have to beat non-divisional contenders too, such as the Indianapolis Colts. The Broncos have lost seven of their last 10 games against the Colts, scoring 16 or fewer points on five separate occasions. Indianapolis is a stronger team with Matt Ryan under center and its defense will likely give Russell Wilson a run for his money. Given that Ryan has also won three consecutive starts against the Broncos, it's easy to see why this matchup will be one of Denver's tougher games in 2022.
